April No surprise to Bull Huss being prominent this weekend. First place again to Andy Joslin R&R with a Huss of 12lb 2 1/2oz, second to Andy Clements Bid A with a Huss of 10lb 4oz, third to Darren Short with a Rockling of 1lb 4 1/2oz and fourth place to Rob Pearson CMB with a Pollack of 3lb 8 1/4oz. Final results for the season are:

March A rough fairly fishless weekend for most but Andy Joslin R&R took first place with a Rockling of 1lb 9oz, second to Dave Shapland R&R with another Rockling of 1lb 8 1/4oz and third place to Rob Pearson CMB with a cracking Dogfish of 2lb 13oz.

January First place to Kevin Legge CMA with a Bull Huss of 14lb 8oz, second to Tony Gussin R&R with a Small Eyed of 11lb 11oz and third Julian Stainer THA with a Dogfish of 2lb 10 3/4oz. I have only limited results which are THA 39, THB and R&R both with 38 and CMA on 34.

November A wild windy weekend produced some good fish including a cracking Tope for Darren Short R&R of 46lb 10oz, second place to John Passmore THA with a Bull Huss of 10lb 8oz and third to Paul Whitefield THB with another Bull Huss of 10lb 3oz. Points to date are as follows. THA 34, THB 34, R&R 32, CMB 29, CMA 27, BID A 25, APP 24 and Soul Bros. 9

October After a couple of flat very cold nights this hasn't faired the fishing very well. But John Passmore was able to bring a couple of fish to the scales to help Triple Hook A with a few needed points taking them up to second place. First with a Rockling of 1lb 3 3/4oz and third with a Dogfish of 2lb 4 1/4oz. Darren Short R&R took second place with a Rockling of 1lb 3oz. Points are still a little tight amongst the top placings. THB 29, THA 28, CMB 25, R&R 25, CMA 23, BID A 21, APP 20 and Soul Bros. 6
September This months competition saw a variety of species come to the scales. Nice to see a few Trigger Fish around, although no specimens seen around yet. First place to Andy Joslin R&R with a Smoothound of 11lb 3 1/4oz, second Stuart Webber THA with a Smoothound of 9lb 2 1/2oz and third to John Passmore THA with a Rockling of 1lb 8 1/4oz. All placed fish were over 100% specimen rating. Points to date are THB 25, CMB 21, THA 20, CMA 19, R&R 19, BID 18, APP 16 and Soul Brothers 6.
August This months competition weigh in took place at Appledore British Legion. Generally a little struggle to obtain fish, too much chasing one observer stated. First place went to Mickey Metters THB with a Dogfish of 2lb 15 1/4oz, second Peter Harris THB with another Dog of 2lb 11 1/4oz and third to Julian Stainer THA with a Smoothound of 7lb 12 3/4oz. Points to date are THB 21, CMB 17, CMA 15, BID 14, THA 13, APP 12 and R&R 12
July The second competition saw Combe Martin taking the top three places. Conrad Lees CMB with a Thick-lipped Mullet of 4lb 2oz taking first and Adrian Gove CMA taking second and third with Dogfish of 3lb and 2lb 12 1/4oz. Hopefully I'll have some Club points soon.
June The first North Devon competition has now taken place with the weigh in at Braunton. First place to Mickey Metters THB with a Rockling of 1lb 9 1/4oz, second to Arthur Johns BDA with a Mullet of 3lb 11 1/2oz, third to Graham Snow CMB with a Mullet of 3lb 9oz and forth to Mickey Metters with a Dogfish of 2lb 10 3/4oz.
