Revised Rules 2007

 

  1. Teams of four will fish the competitions.
  2. Each team member can only fish for that designated team each season.
  3. The cost per member and per team shall be set at the Annual General Meeting.
  4. Competition dates will be set at the Annual General Meeting and at the delegates meeting. All Clubs have a chance of hosting competitions.
  5. Competition times will be from 6:00pm on the Saturday – 7:30pm on the Sunday. The weigh in will commence at 7:30pm – no fish will be accepted to the scales after this time. All monies must be received prior to the weigh in or this could disqualify the team.
  6. Under NFSA rulings the league will now allow the use of 4 hooks on 2 rods, but only with the use on Pennel Rigs (1 Pennel rig consisting of 2 hooks per Rod/Rig). Anything other than Pennel rigs still stand as 2 rods and 3 hooks ( 2 hooks on 1 rod and 1 hook on the 2nd rod).
  7. All specimen and minimum sizes will be based on the  NDSSA specimen list set at the annual general meeting.
  8. Points will be awarded as follows:

1 point per person for fishing.

3 points for the overall best specimen

2 points for the second best specimen

1 point for the third best specimen.

9. All teams must book in prior to the start of the competition by ringing the secretary by 5pm on the Saturday.

10. Competitions will be fished on the Saturday night and Sunday daytime over the relevant weekend set at the Annual General Meeting from June through to April excluding December.

11. Each competitor shall pay £4.00per competition to enter with £1.00 going to the Champion of Champions; the remaining £3.00 will be prize money for that relevant competition. The prize money will be split 50%/ 30% & 20% paid to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. If only one fish is weighed the prize money will be paid out in full. If no fish are weighed the prize money will be drawn and the winner will take all.

12. Champion of Champion prize money will be paid out 605 & 40%, if no fish are weighed the prize money will roll over to the first league match of the following season, whereby the highest placed qualifiers from the champion of champions competition will take the prize money.

13. Fish will be weighed by the host club on accurate scales with an association representative present.

14. It is the clubs responsibility to collect the monies due and to record the fish.

15. A competition will be fished in the month of May (Champion of Champions) for those anglers attaining 1st, 2nd or 3rd places in the previous monthly competitions. There will also be a competition for members not fishing the above competition ( Also Rans).

16. Competition Boundaries will be from Marsden Mouth to Foreland Point.

17. In the event of a dispute the secretary and Chairman will have the final say.

18. Trophies will be awarded at the presentation prior to the Annual General Meeting.

19. Rule changes can only be adopted at the Annual General Meeting.

20. No fish is to be brought onto the premises of the weigh in, in water unless alive and intended for release.
